"JOANNE RITTENBACH OBITUARY
JoAnne Rittenbach

McCLUSKY - JoAnne P. Rittenbach, 77, McClusky, died Oct. 8, 2008, at home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the United Methodist Church, McClusky, with burial on Monday, Oct. 13, in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

JoAnne was born April 23, 1931, near McClusky, to Ray and Emma (Wahl) Murray. She grew up and attended rural school in the McClusky area. JoAnne married Ervin Rittenbach Jan. 26, 1949, in McClusky. They lived, farmed and ran a dairy operation in the McClusky area. They moved into McClusky in 1963. JoAnne was a homemaker and later she and Ervin started a meat processing service. She was also a housekeeper for several families in McClusky. In addition, she also painted, wallpapered and was a Bismarck Tribune carrier for over twenty years.

JoAnne's hobbies included crocheting, sewing, gardening and flowers. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in McClusky.

JoAnne is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Rick and Barb, Harvey, Ron, Hazelton, Randy, Ruso, and Rod and Vicky, Fargo; one daughter and son-in-law, Ranae and Chuck Hack, Timber Lake, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harry Murray, Garrison, Floyd Murray, McClusky, and Orville Murray, Mandan; and one sister, Sandra Bentz, Dickinson.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Herbert, Ervin and Clarence; and sisters, Tillie Lauer, Frances Dosch and Verna Dockter.
