Funeral services for Edward Ites. 77, of Buffalo Center were held Monday afternoon, July 24 at the Ramsey Reformed church, rural Titonka. Rev. John Janssen was the officiating clergyman. Interment was in the church cemetery, with DavidGray, Paul Gray, Gordon Schrock, John Venenga, Jack Ailts and Edwin Ailts serving as pallbearers.

Edward Ites was born November 8, 1894 at Alden, the son of the late Henry Ites and Jennie Harms Ites. He was baptized in the Evangelical Reformed Church at Alden, and received his formal education in that vicinity. As a young man hemoved with his parents to a farm north of Titonka.

On February 24, 1916, he was married to Johanna Isebrand. they lived on a farm near Lakota and also in the Titonka and Bancroft area. They retired to Buffalo Center several years ago.

On July 5 he was admitted to the Buffalo Center Hospital where he passed away on July 21. He had attained the age of 77 years, 8 months and 22 dys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one sister and three brothers. He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Johanna; two daughters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Ailts of Dumont and Mrs. Lester (Irene) Gray of Buffalo Center;10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. there are also many other relatives and friends." <>
