Earl was married to Akaleina and they had two children Alice Cole and Victor Cole. They were divorced and Earl married his second wife Elsie. She passed way. Earl then married Velma his third wife. When Akaleine divorced Earl she took thechildren and never would let Earl see them. Earl would send gifts to the children but Akalina would not give them to Alice and Victor. When Akaleina passed away a friend brought them to his home and left them with Elsie for a day and whenEarl came home. Elsie said "Earl do you know who these children are?" Earl said "no" Elsie told him and he sat a bawled. Someone in her family found out about taking the children over to Earl's and he never saw them again. Info fromThelma Schramm. ...

COLE Earl L. Earl L. Cole, 97, passed from Labor to Rest July 10, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital. Earl was the eldest son of Elmer and Gladys Cole, born March 20, 1913. Earl was employed for 37 years at Champion Spark Plug, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, long daily walks and raising roses. Earl had a long and extensive Masonic history. He had served as past master of Calumet Lodge #612 and Northern Light #40, past priest of Calumet Chapter #191, past Illustrious Master Calumet Council #133, past commander of St. Omer #59, past Monarch of O-Ton-La Grotto #40, past First Arch Inspector of the Grand Council, past president of Ohio Association of High Twelve, Emerald Council Knight Mason #70 Treasurer, Scottish Rite Ambassador, past president, Master, secretary and treasurer of Shine Crusader, past Master and Chaplain of Lucas County Memorial Lodge, Ohio Priory #18 Knight York Cross of Honor, Hospitalers, Demolay Legion of Honor and a 50 year Member of Calumet Lodge and Northern Light Lodge. Earl was preceded in death by his wives, Elsie and Velma. He is survived by his brother, Robert W. (Barbara) Cole; sister, Marie Wilder; daughter-in-law, Joanna Kaiser and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 2-8 PM at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., where Masonic Services will be held at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Springfield Twp. Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Earl's name are asked to be in the form of contributions to Reedemer Lutheran Church or the Shriners Children's Hospital and Burn Unit. www.walterfuneralhome.com
