Author: Baker, Denise, Title: e-mail to David A. Navorska in re Franssen/Kuiper, (Publication location: St. Libory, NE, Publisher: DB, Publication date: xx Nov MMVI)

"... Until now the only sibling I knew of for my GG Grandmother, Martha (Metje) Kuiper was her brother, William (Willem) Kuiper. My family is a little confusing because Martha and William were brother and sister and they married anotherbrother and sister: Martha (Metje) married Herman (Harm) Johann Franssen and William (Willem) married Maria "Mary" Franssen so I have double relationships in my family tree. To make it even more confusing. The Son of Herman Johann Franssen and Martha Kuiper, John Franssen, married the daughter of William Kuiper and Maria Franssen, who was Anna Kuiper (1stcousins married 1st cousins) and they had 13 children. ..."

"... Martha and William Kuiper (along with their families) both immigrated to the U.S. in about May of 1872. They settled first in Illinois and then in 1880-1881 moved to St. Libory, Nebraska (which is where I live). Here they bought land andfarmed and raised their families until their deaths. They are all buried here in the Catholic Cemetery in St. Libory. I live just a few miles from their original farm. ..." <>
