Biography Services for Al Kruse, age 56 of Lubbock, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Mr. Kruse passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2005, in Amarillo. Hewas born January 25, 1949, in East Chicago, IN. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal,Combat Infantryman Badge, and an Air Medal. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and First Christian Church. He enjoyed wood working and collecting coins. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Kruse and sister, Shirly Dahlquist.Survivors include: his mother, Gladys Smith of Mesa, AZ; sister, Diane Hallam and husband, Tom of Streator, IL; son, Albert Kruse, Jr. and wife, Regan of Lubbock; two daughters, Diane Kruse and Crystal Kruse both of Lubbock; and formerwife, Dorothy Kruse and former wife and friend, Linda Boudreaux. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Resthaven.'
