Edward "Bud" Telkamp Jr. Age 86 passed away on January 11, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bud was born March 2, 1929 to Edward H. And Anna C. (Furst) Telkamp in Lakota, Iowa. He graduated high school and worked the family farm until joining the United States Air Force. He was in the Air Force until 1952.

He was united in marriage to Elmira June Arends on March 17, 1951. They had six children - Cynthia, Penny, Daniel, Nicolas, Kimberly and Scott.

Bud worked for Moores Dairy and Anderson Erickson Dairy in Ames and Webster City before retiring in 1983. After retirement he moved to El Dorado Springs, Missouri where he resided until five years ago when he moved to Avoca, Iowa.

Bud loved yard work and mowing. He made many wood and fun objects to give to family and friends. He loved reinventing the wheel - he always had a better way to make things work more efficiently. He loved watching football - The Kansas City Chiefs were his favorite team. He also enjoyed watching WWII movies.

He was a proud member of American Legion Post 227.
Bud is survived by four children; one sister; twelve grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elmira, sons Daniel and Nicholas, son-in-law Travis Fetters and sisters LaVonne Helmke and Naomi Blackman.

At Bud's request a private family Graveside service with military rites was held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Lawn Hill Cemetery in Stanhope, Iowa.
