Vianna Gelder, 90, of Webster City, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7th at the Community Church, east of Kamrar, with Rev. Peter Mueller officiating.

Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vianna Ruth Klaver, daughter of Walter and Nettie Arends Klaver, was born May 17, 1921 at Kamrar, Iowa. She received her education in the Cairo rural school near Kamrar. On June 17, 1947, she married Stoffer Jans Gelder at Nashua. Thecouple farmed south of Kamrar. In 1975, the couple retired to Kamrar. She was a homemaker. Mr. Gelder died July 17, 1996.

Mrs. Gelder is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Arlon and Vera Gelder of Columbia, MO; Keith and Joan Gelder of Kamrar; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Steve Steinberg of Ossian, IA; grandchildren, Michael Gelder, Jon (Jennifer)Gelder, Melissa (William) Johnson, Brian (Mindy) Gelder, Steven (Lindsay) Gelder, Joshua (Kait) Staples, Becky (Ryan) Wangsness; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chester Klaver; son, Arnold Lee Gelder; great-granddaughter, Taylor Gelder.

Vianna was a member of the Community Church of Kamrar and active in Rebecca Circle and Bible School activities. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family.
