"HUESMAN, MEINT HUESMAN, DOROTHY GRAY

Meint Huesman was born in Grundy County near Ackley, Iowa. He was the son of Jans and Ella Huesman. Meint grew up and was educated at Ackley, Iowa. Meint served in the U. S. Army from 1950 to 1952.

In 1952 Meint married Dorothy Gray, daughter of Arnold and Sadie Gray. dorothy was born and educated near Titonka, Iowa. To them four children were born: Bonnie, Mrs. Jerry Giesking, Titonka, Iowa; Janet, Mrs. John Engelmann, OverlandPark, Kansas; Keith, a son, married Jacque Seebeck, Mason City, Iowa; Lori, Mrs. Kim Hinders, Burlington, Colorado. They have twelve grandchildren.

Meint was custodian at the Titonka Consolidated School for twenty-six and a half years. Dorothy was employed at the Titonka Care Center as housekeeper for eighteen years."

A funeral service for Meint Huesman, 88, of Titonka was held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Reformed Church of rural Titonka with burial in the church cemetery. Meint K. Huesman October 30, 1925 - March 23, 2014

Meint was a quiet, kind and gentle man whose family was most important to him. Meint Kenneth Huesman was born October 30, 1925 at Ackley, Iowa, to Jans and Ella (DeVries) Huesman. He attended rural school near Ackley, Iowa. Meint servedin the US Army for 2 years 1950-1952 in Yokohama, Japan. On September 26, 1952, Meint was united in marriage to Dorothy Gray at Ramsey Reformed Church near Titonka. Meint farmed with his father for 4 years in Ackley. The couple moved fromAckley to Corwith where Meint worked at International Harvester Implement for seven years. The couple moved back to Titonka where he was the custodian at Titonka School System for 26 ½ years.

Meint was a long time member of Ramsey Reformed Church. Meint served many years on the Church Council and taught Sunday School. He liked to sing and enjoyed music very much. He enjoyed working out doors, keeping his yard and shrubs neatand trimmed.

Meint became a resident of the Titonka Care Center on February 28, 2014 and died there on Sunday afternoon, March 23, 2014 at the age of 88.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Titonka, daughter Bonnie and husband Jerry Giesking of Webster City, IA; daughter Janet and husband John Engelmann of Overland Park, KS; son Keith Huesman and wife Jacque of Mason City, IA anddaughter Lori Hinders of Pueblo, CO, as well as 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister Fern Meyer of Ackley, Iowa. Meint was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Anna Schultz and Helen Snittjer andbrother LeRoy Huesman."
