Samuel married Margaret Susannah SMITH. She was born 22 December 1795 in K entucky, before it became a state. Samuel, in 1827, built a cabin in Secti on 13, Salem Township, Delaware County. The cabin is in Heekin Park, in Mu ncie. It wasdonated in 1931. Samuel and his family moved to Salem Townsh ip in 1836. They were founders of Edenton Baptist Church in Clarmont Count y, Ohio in 1829. The church was abandoned when the members moved away to I ndiana and Illinois. Theirchildren were; Elizabeth born 1813 married Isai ah TEMPLIN; Soloman S. born 1816 married Delilah TUTTLE 10 September 18 40 in Delaware County; Joseph born 15 February 1819 and died in Gast on 18 March 1875, married Martha (Patsy) HINAKER;Thomas born in 1821, mar ried Mary MYERS; Catherine born 24 February 1823 married Daniel WITT; Elij ah born in 1825 married Catherine MYERS, Nancy LYKINS, and Rebecca Ellen T UTTLE; Susanne born 08 October 1830 married 25 September 1851to John H.
