Note: Obtained a meager schooling and at the age of 17 years, left home to find his fortune in the new world. He migrated directly to Chicago IL where he accepted an apprenticeship to learn the brick laying trade. In 1907 he moved toPortland OR. Ten years later he moved to Bend OR. Moved to Klamath Falls in 1927. Immediately upon arriving in Klamath Falls he was given a contract to erect the medical-dental building and before the end of the year he completed that joband the construction of the Cascade Gargage. Among the other buildings which stand as monuments to his integrity and ability are the Newberry store on Main street, Consolidated Freight Building; Third floor addition to the J.C. PenneyBuilding; the Merrill Church and parsonage; a pool hall in Merrill; the theatre bldg in Malin; and he did brickwork on Henley school; Pelican School; Weyerhaeuser Junction; Fort Klamath; and additions to Altamont and Melin Schools.
