Grace Ella, daughter of Henry and Effie Gamble, was born in East Palmyra, New York January 18, 1876. She departed this life October 2, 1945 at the age of 70 years, nine months and 16 days. When a small girl, she moved with her parents tosouthern Michigan where most of her girlhood was spent. While still in her teens she moved with her family to the Mt. Pleasant and spent the rest of her life near Delta.

While residing in the Mt. Pleasant community she was converted in the Church of Christ or what is now known as the U. B. Church. She was baptized and took an active part in church and Christian Endeavor.

In the year 1896 she was united in marriage to Oliver C. Miller of Mt. Pleasant and to this union were born five children, Effie, Clinton, Audrey, Constance, and Marion. Mr. Miller preceded her in death on Sept 20, 1940.

She leaved to mourn her passing her children, two brothers, Blaine Gamble of Toledo and Glen Gamble of Pioneer; two sisters, Florence Chrispell of Jamestown, NY, and Hazel Turpening of Swanton; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren;a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a kind, understanding mother, a loyal helpful neighbor. The neighborhood in which she lived was enriched by her presence. Her children will always feel the loss of her understanding counsel and her faithful, encouragingcompanionship which was there whenever they needed it. ...
