"... Geneva E. Skates May 19, 1930 ~ April 20, 2012 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Geneva E. Skates, age 81, of Wauseon, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, 2006 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. She was born May 19, 1930 to the late George W. and Uvah (Pike) Allwood. Geneva enjoyed her work as a homemaker and also working for Schmidlin's Greenhouse. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxilliary of Lyons, Ohio. In 2006, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Francis D. Skates and brother, Charles Allwood. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Eric (Kathy) Skates of Wauseon; daughter, Nevie (Jan) Wilson of Wauseon; grandchildren, Sarah Monk and Randall Daley; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Savannah and Robert. There will be no visitation and services will be private for the family at a later time. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Williams & Fulton Counties; 230 Westfield Dr., Archbold, Ohio 43502 or the Lyons Fire Department in her memory."
