Born Feb. 28, 1896, she was the daughterof Joseph and Malinda Jane (Krieger) Cogan. On June 9, 1934, she married Orley Babcock, who preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1980. She was a housewife and member of the seventh Day Adventist Church, of Defiance. She is survived by a son,Dale Rex of Napoleon; a daughter, Jan Brock of Toledo; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph; eight brothers; two sisters and a grandchild.Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Mortuary of Napoleon, Rev. Hal Ward officiating. Interment will be at Hoy Cemetery. Visitation will be at the mortuary on Friday from 2-4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The family suggests memorials bemade to Country View Haven Nursing Home.
