Note: Laura B. Beck, aged 96, of Hopkins, died Monday, January 21, 2002, at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Beck was born April 14, 1905, in Salem Township, MI, the daughter of Arthur and Isabelle (Simmons) Green. Surviving are eightchildren, Alice Harnish of Wyoming, Leona and Gene Nevenzel of Allegan, Lila Harnish of Grand Rapids, Viola and Rober McEwen, Lucille Larr, Daniel Beck, Robert and Judy Beck, all of Hopkins, Gail and Stan Emelander of Hudsonville; onedaughter-in-law, Miriam Abraham of Tennessee; 29 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Nellie Weber of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1987, and two sons,Bernard and James. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where services will be held Friday 10a.m. Mr. Comer Skinner speaking. Interment Lakeview Cemetery,Hopkins Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or Wayland Ambulance.
