Elizabeth Hayes Taulbee was the daughter of Hartwell Hayes and Keziah C. Hayes of North Carolina. She wife of James Taulbee, son of William Hitchcock and Margaret Taulbee of North Carolina. Elizabeth and James were married about 1816 in North Carolina. They came to Wolfe Co., Kentucky around 1817 with their daughter, Fanny. James and his family lived all their life in Wolfe Co. but because of changing county lines, they are listed in 5 different counties. They first appear in the 1820 Kentucky census. Elizabeth died in 1852 and is probably buried in an unmarked grave where her husband is buried. These are the known children of Elizabeth Hayes and James Taulbee:
