Notes about John McNeill (adopted)

Thomas Power married Rosanna Goodall about 1885 possibly 1887 in Ireland. They had daughter Jane in 1890 Hebburn.Thomas Power died in 1898 Hebburn Rosanna would be very poor with no income so took in 4 Lodgers (Boarders) who would pay her rent for living there. One lodger was John McNeill (Cadyer) my great grandfather. He must have fell in love with his landlady because in 1901 he married Rosanna .Then in 1906 his adopted 24 year old younger brother Bartholomew McNeill married 16 year old Jane Power . Jane and Bartholomew then went on to have those McNeill children I listed earlier and are on the photo. In Feb 1933 Rosanna McNeill formerly Power nee Goodall died.John would have been a lonely man and as his step daughter Jane was a widow (Her husband Bartholomew had died in 1922) they must have came to an arrangement where John moved into Tyne View to live there. YES you are correct about Thomas Power marrying Rosanna Goodall. (Not William). Thomas was born in 1865 and died in 1898 aged just 33. in 1901 Rosanna married John McNeill ( real name Cadyer)
