Notes about Richard Henry

In 1940 Aunt Jane and Uncle Dick bought their house on 660 Allen Road, paying a wopping $5,000 for it!
Not too long afterwards there were plans to build another street, but as many plans go, this one too did not quite pan out. So the surronging neighbors were offered the extra lots, and Uncle Dick purchased 4 extra lots - making for a great back yard! In the 50's the 9ft. inground pool came in - it was the first inground pool this particular contractor had ever done, accounting for the extra-thick layer of concrete that makes up this memorable blue summer paradise. They had to make a small train & tracks to cart the cement from the street to the pool site! Sure wish I had seen that!

Uncle Dick died peacefully in his home after a short illness. As far as deaths go, this is the kind to wish for!
