Bio: Company B, 46th Mississippi InfantryConfederate States of AmericaJoseph McPhail enlisted at Williamsburg 22 Feb 1862 by Capt. T. D. Magee. He was absent at the hospital in Clinton 19 July 1862. On 4 Oct 1862 he was furloughed for 20 days by the Brigade Surgeon. He was captured at Vicksburg 4 July 1863 and signed the oath 10 July 1963. He was AWL 23 August 1863.
