--sailed from England with his family in the ship "Griffin," and landed at Boston in 1634-5. He settled at Scituate, circa 1634, and Barnstable, 1639, being the first minister who preached at either place.

--gives children as: Daughter; Daughter; Joseph m Mary Ansol; Samuel; Thomas m ( ) Evans, wid.; John; Hopestill; and Barnabas.

--I also found a discrepancy in the names of the English ancestors of John Lothrop.

--Reverand

--to New England in 1634; to Scituate, Mass., 1634; to Barnstable, Mass., 1639.

--moved to Barnstable in October 1639 where he continued as pastor until his death on 8 Nov. 1653;

--"His sons were, Thomas, who settled in Barnstable; Samuel, in New London 1648; Joseph in Barnstable; Benjamin in Charlestown; Barnabas and John, both at Barnstable. Of his daughters were Jane and Barbara."
