Believed to be buried here, at the Friends Burial Grounds, Menallen Meeting House, Adams (formerly York) County, PA. Moses Harlan was born in Northern Ireland, in the Parish of Donaghcloney, County Down, bordering the town of Lurgan, County Armagh. He died in Menallen Township, York (now Adams) Co., PA, before 29 Mar 1749 (date will was probated). He arr. in the Quaker colony of Pennsylvania in 1687 with his parents, George Harland/Harlan and Elizabeth Duck. In 1712, he married Margaret Ray (who immigrated from the same county of Ireland) at Newark Meeting, now Newark co., Delaware. Children: Mary Harlan (m. John Cox) and Rebecca Harlan (m.
