Margaret Gibson and her Husband John MacDonald had a large family and left Greenoch, Scotland in April 1820 in the sailing boat, "Young Norval". The trip lasted six weeks, they were becalmed off Newfoundland and ran into fog. At Q Quebec City they were transferred to "Durham Boats", and at Brockville they boarded a schooner for Little York.(Toronto) (This information was found in the History of Erin Township}
