According to family legend Roland was possibly poisoned with arsneic by his wife Dora. He evidently had all the symptoms of being slowed poisoned but he might have had cancer who knows. Some of the family wanted to have him dug up and checked for poison later but his older brother Charlie said to do so might hurt the kids and nothing ever came of it. His brother who married his widow is said to have told family members as he was dying to not let Dora near him so maybe he had his doubts also.
