He declared he served as Pvt. in Capt. John Keys Company, S. C. Regt. of Volunteers com¬ manded by Col. Carter, War of 1812; that he was drafted or mus¬ tered in at Edgefield, S. C., 20 Dec. 1813 for 3 months and continued in actual service for the same time being honorably discharged at Shelton’s Hill, S. C. on 20 Mch. 1814.
