Charles Wilson said Elizabeth died between 1669 (possibly in childbirth) and 1772. However, in Vol III of Chalkey's book, there was a reference to an order entered in the court order book on 24 May 1773 relating to a land transaction. According to the entry, the transaction had involved the recorded sale of a lot in Staunton sold by Col George Wilson of Hampshire Co, "with privy examination of Elizabeth, wife of Col. George Wilson to the same deed." Therefore, it is clear that Elizabeth was still alive as of mid-1773.
