Dorothy Marie Rainey, 83, of Keyport died Monday at her home.

She was born in Ranger, Texas, to Henry J. and Ethel (Hoke) Will. In 1938, she graduated from Libertyville Township High School in Libertyville, Ill. Her studies continued at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill., in 1943. While living in Bremerton some years later, she attended Olympic College.

In 1962, she married Robert R. Rainey. They became residents of Kitsap County 42 years ago.

Mrs. Rainey worked as an accounting technician at the Naval Supply Center in Bremerton, retiring in 1975.

She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed macrame, crocheting, reading and gardening.

Mrs. Rainey was preceded in death by her husband in 1993 and by her daughter, Marilyn Ann Ford, and her sister, Marjorie Lucas.

Survivors include a daughter, Patrice Y. Von Liski of Keyport; two brothers, Henry Will of Round Lake Beach, Ill., and Jerome Will of Forestville, Wis.; two sisters, Shirley Barnett of Shelton and Mary Louise Penny of Carrollton, Texas; two grandchildren, Frank Mathew Buzolits of Sault Sainte Marie, Mich., and Deborah Breen and her husband, Tom, of Goose Creek, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Tom, Patrick and John.

No services are planned. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383-3416.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
