I believe the following to be a description of Isaac Henry Owings. It is taken from pages 56 & 57 of the Truxton and Nostalgia book written in Dec 1976 by Beulah A. Femmer - LS

"Izaac Owings, better known as "Uncle Ike" was the first faith healer I have knowledge fo that practiced in Truxton. Many people believed in his healing powers and were cured of their ailments by his "trying" or "faithing". Uncle Ike lived to an advanced age. As I was growing up he was considered the oldest person around here."
