Hester Pletjes Op Den GRAEFF was born on 18 Jan 1609 in Krefeld, Germany. (3761) She died on 21 Feb 1643 in Krefeld, Germany. (3762) Parents: Bishop Herman Isaacks Op Den GRAEFF and Grietjen Gobels PLETJES.C VAN-BEBBER; born Abt. 1609 in Krefeld, Germany.ny. Hester was probably born in Krefeld, Germany about 1609. She married Isaac Van Bebber about 1635, most likely in Krefeld. Isaac and Hester's children were Mennonites, a religious sect that came to be persecuted in Europe. It is not known if Isaac & Hester were Mennonites. Their children all emigrated to Pennsylvania in the mid 1680's to escape the religous persecution. No record of Isaac's death has been found, but it is probable that he died in Germany before his children came to America. Hester did come to America with her children, but died soon after her arrival. According to her son Herman she died on November 19, 1643, but according to the VanBibber website, she died on December 11, 1657. https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=113599817________ the ancestor of the Van Bebber's who settled in Germantown. The name Jacob tells us his father was named Isaac Van Bebber.bers were undoubtly men of standing, ability, enterprise and means. The father, Jacob Isaacs (implies his father was Isaac) moved into Philadelphia before 1698, being described as a merchant in Hight Street, and died there before 1711. Matthias, who is frequently mentioned by James Logan, made a trip to Holland in 1701, returned to Philiadelphia before 04/13/1702. He reained in that city until 1704 when He and his Elder Brother, Isaac Jacobs, [and others] removed to Bhoemia Manor, Cecil County, Maryland. There he was a justice of the peace, and is described in the deeds as a merchant and a gentleman.
