Alexander Burrell, State Pioneer, Dies in Helena

Alexander A. Burrell, 83, a member of a pioneer Montana mining family, died Monday at his home in Helena.

Burrell came to Montana in 1889 with his parents when his father became manager of the rich Drumlummon mine at Marysville, near Helena.

He lived at Choteau, Butte and near Missoula before returning to the Helena area and working as a laboratory technician with the State Highway Department.
