Yvonne E. (Vollmer) Quinn, 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont.

Yvonne was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William J. and Grace (Teaman) Vollmer. She was married in 1941 to Gerard O'Leary, who died in action during World War II in May 1945.

Later, she met and married John J. (Jack) Quinn, her loving husband of 66 years.

Yvonne was a dedicated homemaker, an avid bridge player, an accomplished seamstress and a true fan of Pittsburgh professional sports.

She and her late husband, Jack, were seasoned travellers of the United States and enjoyed trips to several European countries.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, William J. and Grace; and her brother, William J. Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: a brother, Ralph Vollmer; her children, Maureen (Stephen) Venturino, Jacqueline Long, Kevin (Christine) Quinn, Madeline (Jeff) Taylor and Patricia (William) Keen; along with 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five nieces and one nephew.
