Eleanor Brown White, 95, of Wilmington Delaware, passed away at the Highfield Masonic Home of Delaware on April 26, 2012 after a long and happy life.

Eleanor, the first child of Albert Street Brown and Mary Agatha McCausland Brown, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1916.

She was raised in Oxford, Pennsylvania and graduated from Oxford High School. On February 2, 1939, she married Edward William White of Perryville, Maryland.

They raised their family in Wilmington, Delaware. She devoted herself to her family as a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and her family was equally devoted to her.

Eleanor worked for the state of Delaware as Cafeteria Manager for Marshallton School, retiring in 1979 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the American School Food Service, a member of Marshallton United Methodist Church (1944), the United Methodist Women and Alice Ball Circle.

She is survived by her son Wayne White and his wife Joyce, her daughter and primary caregiver, Lorraine White Valente and her husband John, foster son Gerald Montgomery and his wife Karen.

Mom Mom was also survived by her grandchildren Jeanne and Don Keister, Susan and Clem Cheng, Sheila and Norman Cochran, Tina and Bucky Lloyd, Melissa and John McCafferty, Kelley Montgomery and Tracey Montgomery Conn. Great grandchildren are Matthew, Courtney and Tyler Keister, Kelsey, Lia and Justin Cheng, Vinnie and Christine Cochran, Nikki and Joey Cochran, Alex and John Hank Haney, Samantha McCafferty, Donald (DJ) Richardson and Dalton Schirling. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Edward White in 1967 and her four brothers, Harry, Albert, William and Paul Brown.
