Constance of Burgundy (1046 - 1093), was the daughter of Duke Robert I of Burgundy and Helie de Semur-en-Brionnais.

She built a monastery in Burgos for Adelelmus in 1079. She married Alfonso VI of Castile on May 8, 1081. They had two children:

Urraca of Castile (1082 - March 8, 1126).
Elvira of Castile. Considered to have died young.

Constanza de Borgoña (¿?, 1046 – ¿?, 1093). Noble francesa, fue reina de Castilla y León, segunda esposa de Alfonso VI. Era hija del duque Roberto I y de Hélie de Samur y tía de los duques Hugo I y Eudes I.

Cuando se casó con el rey castellano ya era viuda de su primer marido Hugo II de Châlon. Este matrimonio duró de 1080 a 1092, año de su muerte. Le dio seis hijos al rey y solo sobrevivió la futura reina Urraca de Castilla y durante todo su matrimonio tuvo que soportar las infidelidades de su esposo. Se dice que intentó ayudar al Cid Campeador influyendo en el rey, para que le levantara el destierro. Llamó al monje francés Lesmes para que sustituyese la liturgia mozárabe por la romana.

Constanza falleció en el segundo semestre del año 1093, y su cuerpo fue sepultado en el monasterio de los Santos Facundo y Primitivo en Sahagún.
