Notes about Boris (Barrash) Piekny

Buried in Woodbridge Mausoleum, Fords, New Jersey.

He corresponded with Melvin Aiken in two letters November 30, 1983 and January 17, 1984, at
which he wrote that he was the only remaining sibling of the eight brothers (and he lived another
15 years!).
Excerpt from Boris's January 17, 1984 letter [some editing]:
"Now we are coming to the eighth and that's me Boris. I was married to a woman names Hala. We
didn't have any children. Hitler took care of her together with my mother. After the war I met in a DP
camp a widow whose husband and a 5-year-old boy perished during the war, and we remarried.
Her name is Etta. We have two children, twins: a daughter Rochelle and a son Sheldon. They are
both married. Rochelle's husband's name is Martin Smolar. They have two daughters: Michele
Robin and Emily Ilene. Sheldon's wife's name is Lorraine and they have a son Neil Scott. My two
children live nearby. Their address is 364 and 366 Rose Court, Yorktown Heights, NY, 10598.
"Now that's about everything I can give you. If you need more please do not write. Just show
yourself with your wife up. You will be very welcome wherever you rpefer in Florida or in New York
because we live six months in Florida and six months in New York."
