Notes about Elene Laurie Aiken

On December 20, 2020, Elene Laurie Aiken, 56, passed away in Oldsmar, Florida. Elene was the precious daughter of Carol and Gil Davis and the late Bernard Samuel Aiken. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Maurice Aiken, sister-in-law, Karen Aiken and beloved niece Jenna and nephews Justin and Benjamin Aiken all of Oldsmar, Florida. Other beloved family members include her Aunt, Ellen Katz, and the late Dr. Albert Katz of Baltimore, MD along with many cousins and a wide circle of devoted friends. She was the cherished granddaughter of the late Bess and Louis Schlimer of Baltimore and special friend of Dr. Harry Legum of Baltimore, MD. Elene was creative, artistic and excellent at everything she did. But we remember her kindness, generosity, and loyalty to her family and friends in the happiest as well as the most difficult of times. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in mechanical engineering and a Masters in Business from the University of Baltimore. She was an innovative practice manager for retina specialist Dr. Michael Elman of Baltimore for twenty-two years. Volunteering her time generously to tutor dyslexic children and mentor young girls as a "Big Sister", she served as model and inspiration. She was well traveled and loved lavishly entertaining her family and friends on special occasions and holidays. We will cherish her memory and will always love her, as she loved us, with all of our hearts. A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida.
