Notes about Fijnto Pietersz. Rijchout

Op blz. 59 van het boek De hervormde of Sint Maartenskerk te Hillegom (1978) wordt gesproken over de grafzerk van Fijnto Pietersz. Rijchout, waarschijnlijk weer een der vele Vlaamse vluchtelingen. Eerst woonde hij te Goes, waar zijn oudste dochter Geertje Feijntene is geboren. Later vinden we hem in Heemstede. Dat wil zeggen in de toenmalige Heerlijkheid Heemstede. Tot 1653 vormde Heemstede en Bennebroek nog een geheel. Tot 1622 was er geen kerk in Heemstede en die van Bennebroek kwam pas in 1680. De protestanten in het noordelijke deel van Heemstede gingen ter kerke in Haarlem. Die in het latere Bennebroek kerkten in Hillegom. Fijnto Pietersz. Rijchout heeft dus ongetwijfeld in het huidige Bennebroek gewoond.

Volgens Ronald Gase geboren in Enkhuizen en overleden in Hillegom, ook volgens Frans Angevaare.
