    Ealdgyth Swannesha (Oudengels:Ealdg?ð Swann hnesce) ook "Ealdgyth [de] zachtaardige zwaan" (ook bekend als Edith Zwanehals of Edith de Schone)[1] (ca 1025 - ca. 1086) is het best bekend als de ongehuwde gemalin van koning Harold II van Engeland. Zij leefde volgens de "More Danico" vanaf ongeveer 1045 ruim 20 jaar samen met Harold. In die tijd kregen zij zes kinderen. Haar meest gebruikte naam komt van een historisch onjuiste interpretatie, dat haar bijnaam in het Oud-Engels Zwanenhals zou betekenen. Zij wordt soms ook verward met Ældgyth, dochter van Ealdorman Ælfgar van Mercia, en de vrouw, waar Harold om politieke reden een jaar voor zijn dood mee voor de kerk mee trouwde om zo de steun van haar twee broers in de opvolgingsstrijd voor het Engelse koningschap te verwerven.
