      Amadeus IV van Savoye (1197 - 1253), was de oudste zoon van graaf Thomas I van Savoye en Beatrix van Genève. In 1233 volgt hij zijn vader op als graaf van Savoye. Amadeus was een trouw aanhanger van keizer Frederik. Hij slaagde er in zijn invloed in Bourgondië en Piëmont uit te breiden. Amadeus was getrouwd met:
      Anna van Bourgondië (-1243), dochter van hertog Hugo III van Bourgondië, in 1222
      Cecilia van Baux (-1275), dochter van burggraaf Barral van Marseille, in 1244,

      en werd vader van:
      - Beatrix (1223-1258), in 1233 gehuwd met markgraaf Manfred III van Saluzzo (-1244) en in 1247 met koning Manfred van Sicilië (1231-1266)
