    Elisabeth van Koemanië (1240 - 1290) was een dochter van sheik Kotheny der Koemannen. Zij werd in 1253 uitgehuwelijkt aan Stefanus V van Hongarije, in de hoop de steun te vinden bij het machtige volk der Koemannen. Alhoewel Elisabeth in voorbereiding tot het huwelijk gedoopt was en een christelijke naam gekregen had, bleven Stefanus en zijn echtgenote beschouwd als half-heidens. Uit dit huwelijk waren er onder meer de volgende kinderen:
    - Elisabeth (1255 \endash 1313/1326), die huwde met Záviš van Falkenštejn en met koning Stefan Uroš II Milutin van Servië,
    - Catharina (1257-), die huwde met koning Stefan Dragutin van Servië,
    - Anna (1260-1281), die huwde met keizer Andronicus II van Byzantium,
    - Maria van Hongarije (1257-1323), die huwde met Karel II van Napels ,
    - Ladislaus IV van Hongarije (1262-1290) , die huwde met Elisabeth van Anjou, de zuster van Karel II van Napels ,
    - Andreas, hertog van Slavonië.
