      Teresa van León (1070 - 11 november 1132) was een natuurlijke dochter van koning Alfonso VI van Castilië en León en Jimena Muñoz. Haar ouders waren getrouwd rond 1078, maar wegens bloedverwantschap, waarvoor geen dispensatie was verkregen, werd het huwelijk ongeldig verklaard. Alfons VI was nadien gehuwd met Constantia van Bourgondië, maar bleef Jimena houden als maîtresse.

      In 1093 huwde Teresa van León met haar neef Hendrik van Bourgondië (1066-1112) en kreeg als bruidsschat het graafschap Portugal mee. Toen na de dood van haar man in 1112, hun zoon Alfons I van Portugal nog minderjarig was, werd zij regentes. Tevergeefs ondernam zij pogingen om Portugal los te maken uit de leenheerschappij van Castilië en noemde zichzelf koningin. In 1127 verloor zij echter een veldslag tegen Castilië en moest zij opnieuw de heerschappij van Castilië aanvaarden. Toen zij poogde om haar zoon te laten verdringen van de opvolging ten voordele van haar minnaar, verloor zij in 1128 het pleit van haar zoon in de slag bij São Mamede. Teresa werd samen met haar tweede echtgenoot de graaf van Trava en de kinderen uit haar tweede huwelijk, naar Galicië verbannen.

      Samen met Hendrik van Bourgondië had zij de volgende kinderen:
      - Alfons (Afonso Henriques) (1094 - 1108)
      - Urraca Henriques (1095), in 1120 gehuwd met Bermudo Peres de Trava
      - Sancha Henriques (1097 - 1163), gehuwd met Sancho Nunes de Celanova en met Ferdinand Mendes, heer van Braganza
      - Theresa Henriques (1098)
      - Hendrik (Henrique) (1106 - 1110)
      - Alfons I (Afonso Henriques) (1109 - 1185).
