      Theophanu (Grieks: Te?fa??, Theophano of Te?f???a, Theophania) (Constantinopel, ca. 960 - Nijmegen, 15 juni 991) was een Byzantijnse prinses, een (aangetrouwde) nicht van de Byzantijnse keizer Johannes I Tzimiskes. Op 14 april 972 huwde zij op ongeveer twaalfjarige leeftijd met Otto II en werd zodoende keizerin van Heilige Roomse Rijk. Na de dood van Otto II werd zij regentes voor haar zoon Otto III.
