    Guy I van Auvergne (gestorven ca. 989) was een zoon van de burggraaf van Auvergne, Robert II van Clermont, en van Ingelberga. Hij volgde zijn vader op als burggraaf maar noemde zichzelf graaf na de dood van Willem III van Aquitanië die de titel van graaf van Auvergne had gehad. Guy deed schenkingen aan de abdij van Cluny en aan het klooster van Sauxillanges. Hij is mogelijk gesneuveld bij een aanval op Mende (Lozère). Guy was gehuwd met Ausenda en werd opgevolgd door zijn zoon Guy, die echter alweer snel werd opgevolgd door zijn broer Willem IV (-1016).
