Hij zet de juwelierszaak van zijn vader voort.
In 1840 maakt hij bezwaar tegen de verhoging van de aanslag patentschuldigen van 8 naar 12 gulden.
Op 13-3-1854 en 26-2-1855 treedt Albertus Antonius Rooswinkel op als voogd van het weeshuis (toeg. 26, inv. 76092, rep. 34 en 38, en inv. 76093, rep. 19 en 24)
Op 14-5-1860 verwerft hij voor f 6000,= een woonhuis te Leeuwarden door zijn broers en zusters uit te kopen. Om dit en mogelijk nog bedrijfsinventaris te financieren schrijft hij vier dagen later drie obligaties uit van f 8000,=, f 2142,= en f 2500,=. Diverse van zijn broers en zussen en hun kinderen schrijven voor verschillende bedragen in (notaris H. Albarda te Leeuwarden, inv.nr. 078079, rep.nr. 143, 144, 159 en 160 dd 14 en 18-5-1860).
Op 6-3-1868 wordt in de Leeuwarder Courant de verkoop aangekondigt ter oorzake verandering van woonplaats van eene hechte en ruime koopmanshuizinge, letter D no 59, bevattende: onderscheidene vertrekken, ruim bovenhuis, welingerigt photographisch atelier, zolders, kelders, plaats enz., zeer ter nering staande aan het Naauw te Leeuwarden, kadastraal bekend sectie B no 945, groot 98 el, waarin gedurende meer dan 1½ eeuw eene goud- en zilversmederij is uitgeoefend, door den heer A.A. Rooswinkel als eigenaar bewoond en gebruikt en te aanvaarden 12 mei 1868. Bezigtiging ten verkoopdage van 10-2 uur, op vertoon van toegangskaartjes, verkrijgbaar ten kantore van den not. Het wordt op 23-3-1868 voor f 8505,= verkocht (inv. 78095, rep. 53 en 66).
Hij verhuist met vrouw en 2 kinderen op 12-5-1868 naar Amsterdam waar hij later ingeschreven staat als fotograaf.
