BS Oud-Vroenhoven 1860-1910: CC Maas vestigt zich aldaar 26-0801901, RK, schipper, 3 kinderen.

Volgens zijn zoon Vic Maas heeft het gezin ook in Luik gewoond. Het eerste schip was de Christina (300 ton) en werd overgedaan naar een broer van de vader. Het tweede schip was de Edouardus (400 ton) en werd verkocht. Het derde schip was de Midité, een sleepboot, op een werf in Rotterdam (bij de Noord) gemaakt, met machines van Bolnes.
Er was geen schippersbeurs. Men vervoerde wat men kon krijgen.
Had eerst café ' d'n Ingel' in Maastricht, daarna een café aan de Kleine Gracht, tegenover de Mabi (bioscoop).
