Informatie over Willem Jacob van den Berge: Willempie zoals zij hem noemde was een leuk ventje met grote blonde krullen. Tijdens het spelen met de hoepel is hij waarschijnlijk uitgegleden op de steiger op de kop van het Antwerpse hoofd en verdronken. Toen hij werd gevonden had hij de hoepel nog in zijn handen. Johan zijn broertje was getuige van het voorval en had zijn moeder geroepen, die te laat kwam. (Familieoverlevering)
