Notes about Cornelis Geerts

Hij werd gedoopt en deed belijdenis (25-3-1742) in Beulake.
Uit de cohieren van het roedengeld blijkt, dat hij land had o.a.Carstenland, Geer Jansland (overgrootvader), Jan Zandersland in 't Foppen, Marxvelt, Creemers en Peter Philipsland (grootvader). In het vuurstedenregister van de Beulake 1751 staat hijvoor een gulden. In 1751 was hij diaken in de Nederduits Geref. kerk, kerkmeester van 1748-1750 en ouderling in 1754. Op 4-11-1754 was hij momber over zijn neefje, zoon van Peter Geerts en Aaltje Jacobs, samen met Hendrik Hendriks Koendert. Hij koopt op 7-12-1757 van Jantje Jans, weduwe van Cornelis Geerts Oostindie, een visvijver voor F. 13,-. Verder kocht hij meerdere akkers turfland in de Beulake. Op 18-3-1763 verkoopt hij aan Hans Peters Lassche een huisplaats, vijver en akkertjes met een waarde van F.80,-.[Bron: Erik Jansen op internet pagina http://www.erikjansen.nl/jansen.htm].
