Op 17-5-1911 ging hij vanuit Ravenswaaij naar Grand Rapids (USA) emigreren. Echter op 5-5-1919 kwamhij weer terug vanuit Amerika. Hij ging weer in Ravenswaaij wonen. Echter heeft dat niet lang mogen duren: Hij stierf op 16-6-1920 in Rotterdam (Bev.Reg. Ravenswaaij 1910-1938; SA. Tiel).
