    Agnes van Bourgondië Ivrea ook genaamd Agnes van Mâcon werd geboren rond 987 en overleed te Saintes (Nord pas de Calais) (FR) op 9 november 1068 (10 november 1068?). Ze werd begraven in de Priorij van Saint Nicolas te Poitiers (Poitou Charentes) (FR). Bij haar overlijden was zij ongeveer 81 jaar oud.


    Agnes van Bourgondië (van Mâcon) trouwde in 1019 als derde echtgenote met Willem V van Aquitanië. Zij schonk bezittingen aan de Abdij van Cluny. In 1032 hertrouwde zij met Godfried II van Anjou. Samen stichtte zij op 31 mei 1040 de Abdij van de drie eenheid in Vendôme. Agnes was vanaf 1039 regentes van Aquitanië. Ze arrangeerde het huwelijk van haar dochter Agnes met Keizer Hendrik III en leefde daarna aan het keizerlijke hof en gaf haar functie als regentes op. Ze scheidde in 1047 van haar tweede man en stichtte daarna de Abdij van Notre Dame te Saintes. In 1068 werd ze daar Non (Bron: Wikipedia).
