2 dochters Mathilda en Mies zijn naar 't klooster gegaan waarna Mies al op ongeveer 22-jarige leeftijd in het in Frankrijk is overleden.

M.G. Heijdra: "Dochter Quirina (1873) trouwde met Leen Olsthoorn. Ze gingen wonen in de Oost Veen wat een gedeelte was van het dorp Kethel, op een nieuwe boerderij die ze tot aan hun dood prima schoon en onderhouden hebben. Ze kregen 7 kinderen. De oudste en 4de zoon [Jan en Johan] zouden tot op hoge leefdijd op de boerderij blijven werken en wonen, eerst met hun zus Corrie die 't eerst overleden is. 2 dochters, Mathilda en Mies zijn naar 't klooster gegaan waarna Mies al op ongeveer 22-jarige leeftijd in het klooster in Frankrijk is overleden."
