Notes about Gijsbrecht van Brederode

BIOGRAPHIE: wird am 11 März 1435 Kanoniker am Dom und am 29. November 1437 Domprobst zu Utrecht. Zugleich Probst von St. Servas zu Maastricht und von St. Donaas zu Brügge, dadurch zugleich Erbkanzler von Vlandern. Er war Bischof von utrecht am 7. April 1455 - 6. August 1456, doch wurde vertrieben von seinem Gegenspieler David von Burgund, der ihm folgte. David hielt ihn gefangen von 1470 bis 1474, danach mußte Gijsbrecht seiner Dombrobstei entsagen. Er wurde verbannt, starb zu Breda am 15 August 1475 und wurde begraben zu Geertruidenberg im Karthuizerklooster.
