Notes about Dirk V van HOLLAND

Graaf van Holland, aanvankelijk onder voogdij van zijn moeder en haar 2e Gemaal Robert de Fries (1061-1071),zoon van Boudewijn V van Vlaanderen. Zag zijn landen bij Rijnland en Westflinge vervallen verklaard aan Utrecht door Keizer Hendrik IV 30-4-1064. Robert de Fries maakte zich in 1071 meester van Vlaanderen, wordt door zijn moeder, en Stiefvader uit Kennemerland verdreven, doch herkrijgt de macht door de moord op Hertog Godfried II (met de Bult) van Lotharingen. Nam in 1076 de sterkte IJsselmonde un, en weet de Zuid Hollandse Eilanden te onttrekken aan het gezag van het Bisdom Utrech
Dirck voerde voortdurend strijd om Kerken in Echternach, Velzen, Petten, Oegstgeest en Vlaardingen met de Bisschop van Utrecht Koenraad.
