Zijn vader Ywe Wybes neemt in 1783 het werk als diaken over als Wybe overleden is. Jan Ywes te Mearum, Egbert Meines te Noordwijk en Hendrik Willems te noordwijk worden op 16 december 1783 aangesteld als voogden (voormond, sibbevoogd en vreemde voogd) over het kind van Wybe zaliger en zijn vrouw. Op 16 januari 1784 wordt vastgelegd, dat de moeder alle bezit houdt. Haar tweede man Arend Roelfs zegt toe voor Wybe zijn dochter te zorgen totdat ze 18 jaar is. Ze moet dan lezen en schrijven kunnen en een vak geleerd hebben.
